Your treatment begins with a blood draw and PRP separation via centrifuge. PRP is blended with dermal filler and injected using a gentle cannula technique. It includes superficial stamping treatment and optional Botox, all performed with topical numbing for comfort.

What makes the Cassie Lane undereye treatment unique?

Cassie Lane attended special training in Chicago, Illinois, on the Signature Eye PRP + Filler Undereye Treatment. They are the only practice in Richmond, Virginia, that offers this treatment, setting her apart from other aesthetic offices within the community. To perform this treatment, the patient’s blood is taken and then spun in a centrifuge to separate the PRP, or platelet-rich plasma. That is then taken in a small amount and blended with a dermal filler before being injected through a cannula into the tear trough and undereye area. After this, a stamping skin treatment is performed. This treatment uses tiny needles and is similar to the AquaGold treatment. All of this is done under local anesthetics with a topical numbing cream. Botox may also be combined with this treatment, and many patients find that it offers improvement in undereye skin texture, the formation of wrinkles, and dark pigmentation in this area. Using PRP in combination with fillers and Botox allows for safe treatment of this delicate area. There are fewer complications, and many patients are ecstatic with the results!

How many treatments are recommended?

What is biostimulation?

Can I receive this treatment WITHOUT any dermal filler added?

Definitely! We add only a very small amount of dermal filler to your PRP to help thicken the PRP, which has the consistency of water. The PRP can then stay a bit more concentrated where we inject it. Leaving the dermal filler out can make this treatment 100% natural.

Do you offer PRF? What is the difference between PRF and PRP?

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) are both the most beneficial portions of your own blood that are rich with growth factors. The difference is related to the type of tube used and the centrifuge spin settings. We can use either PRP or PRF for your treatment and typically we use these terms interchangeably as they are so similar.

Should I expect bruising afterwards?

Typically a small circular bruise can be expected on the cheek area where we insert the flexible cannula. Extensive bruising is not expected. Bruises typically take 7-10 days to resolve.

How far apart should I schedule each treatment?

We recommend spacing your Signature undereye treatments 4-8 weeks apart.

How is signature undereye treatment different than tear trough dermal filler?

1 in 4 patients who receive tear trough dermal filler end up with common complications such as blue coloring of the skin (Tyndall), lymphatic drainage issues with puffiness, and filler “balling up” or lumping. While tear trough filler often looks great immediately after injection, over time it has a pesky habit of causing issues. Undereye PRP can get similar quality results that are long lasting and has a much much lower complication rate.
